From husk to export nine stages.

Raw Material
Peat from our own fibre factories is stored in yards free of seeds, weeds and foreign matter, then soaked to soften only matured husks are used, never immature material.

Extraction
Defibred husk passes through a rotating sieve. Soft fibre is set aside for rope and mattress use; the fine residue left behind becomes coco peat.
- 03
Washing
Fibre residue is washed to remove excess salts, guaranteeing electrical conductivity below 0.5 mS/cm.
- 04
Drying & Expansion
Sun-dried to reduce moisture by 20–25%, preserving porosity and expansion capacity.
- 05
Sieving
Passed through a ¼" sieve to remove roughly 20% of surplus fibre strands.
- 06
Aging
Matured for a minimum of 1 year young coco peat is far less durable than aged material.
- 07
Buffering
Ion exchange removes excess sodium and potassium, so later fertilizing with calcium or magnesium won't damage plants.

Composting
Products designed to last more than 2 years are composted for 12–18 months for long-term stability.

Double Sieving
A final pass removes long fibres and dust, guaranteeing the uniformity and quality of every Coba Peat product.
